Greece - Insurance (Zero Excess) General

All rentals include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver (TW) insurance. These cover the vehicle in case of damage or theft; however, they are subject to an excess (deductible) amount, meaning the driver remains financially responsible up to a certain limit.

At the time of pick-up, a security deposit equal to the excess amount is pre-authorized (blocked) on the main driver’s credit card.

The excess cannot be fully eliminated (zero excess is not available). However, it can be reduced by purchasing additional coverage.

Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW):
This optional insurance can be added upon arrival at the rental station and:

  • Provides extended coverage for the main body of the vehicle (exterior), windows, and tires
  • Reduces the excess and the security deposit (depending on the vehicle category)
  • Applies on a daily basis

Please note:

  • Car lights are not included
  • Coverage is valid only for the agreed rental period
  • A credit card is still required for the security deposit, even if insurance is purchased through a third-party provider
  • In case of damage, all necessary documentation will be provided for any external insurance claim

SCDW is not available at our stations in Ikaria, Mykonos, and Santorini.
