To rent a
vehicle with EXER Rent a Car, all drivers must meet the following driving
licence requirements:
Accepted Driving Licences:
- EU/EEA Driving Licences
All valid driving licences issued by a European Union (EU) or European
Economic Area (EEA) member state are accepted.
- Licences from Vienna Convention
Countries
National driving licences written in the Roman alphabet, in photocard
format, and issued by a country that is a contracting party to the Vienna
Convention on Road Traffic are accepted.
- Non-Vienna Convention or
Non-Roman Alphabet Licences
If the driving licence is issued by a country not part of the Vienna
Convention, or is written in a non-Roman alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Cyrillic,
Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese), it must be accompanied by a valid
International Driving Permit (IDP) along with the original licence.
- Specific National Licences
(e.g. USA, Canada, Australia, Israel, etc.)
Driving licences from countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, the
UK, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia,
Argentina, and Bolivia are accepted, provided they are:
- valid
- presented
in original physical format
- accompanied by an official
translation in Greek or English if not already in English or if
non-standard characters are used
The
translation must be certified by a public authority or notary.
Minimum
Licence Holding Period:
All drivers
must have held a valid driving licence for at least 1 full year prior to the
rental date.
If the
issue date is not clearly shown on the licence, additional documentation may be
required to prove the required driving experience.
